8. Dissemination, exploitation and IPR management
Objectives
|
DescriptionThe following activities will be performed in this work package:
Task 8.1:Dissemination This task will consist in using the results and experience developed during the project to dissemination through participation in conferences, submission of papers to journals, and white papers or public reports made available on the project’s web site. A Web Portal will be created in order to be able to deliver the content of the Research, the description of the members of the Consortium and the day-by-day obtained results. The goal is to create a Group of Experts co-ordinating the attention of experts, organisations, and people involved in similar activities or simply interested citizens, in a structured way. The Group of Experts will provide the members with both specific and easy-to-understand information about the Consortium and the Research themselves. Again, the Consortium will make large use of freeware and Open Source tools. The task will also include proactive collaboration with Commission press officers to ensure dissemination on the EC web site. Periodic newsletters will be produced, every six months and anyway in line with each important event or milestone. The newsletter will be produced in order to provide timely information about the state of the research. The combination between the “passive” approach of the web portal and the “proactive” approach of the newsletters will guarantee a full dissemination of the project results. The newsletter will be disseminated on the web portal and through major events, such as conferences, exhibitions and workshops. Project Workshops and technology days will be organized in order to present the obtained results to the community. Collaborations with other European projects in the framework of security and resiliency will be established. Task 8.2: Exploitation Input from the other WPs will be used to produce a roadmap for critical information infrastructure operators to guide them in the adoption of security–enhancing strategies capable to protect their infrastructures from events due to dependencies with the communication network. This task will use input from WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, WP6, and WP7. As a way to maximise the impact of the project output, specific plans for exploitation of results will be defined. They may include collaborations with industry, particularly SMEs, for technology transfer. Task 8.3: IPR management. This task will provide guidance for the process of registering IPR, especially in cases where joint ownership is involved. It will also address any issues concerning access rights, including cases where partners join or leave the project during its duration. |
