Coronis Systems designs and develops wireless OEM solutions for applications and products that require both ultra-low power consumption and long-range connections. The company is the creator of Wavenis^®, a technology platform that includes the highly optimized Wavenis RF transceiver and wireless communication protocol.

Coronis Systems offers system integrators a complete line of wireless products and development platforms, all based on Wavenis technology, which meet the technical and cost requirements of today’s innovative ultra-low-powered wireless sensor networks.

Major markets for Coronis Systems technology are remote water and energy meter monitoring, home comfort, alarms for protecting people and property, home healthcare, industrial automation, centralized building management, access control, cold-chain management, as well as long-range UHF RFID applications for the identification, tracking, and locating people and objects. Based in Montpellier, France, with a subsidiary in Chicago (USA) and an office in Shanghai (China), Coronis Systems has grown consistently since it was founded, now with a staff of 45 employees. By the end of 2006, the company and its customers, major industrial players in key target markets, had deployed over 1,000,000 Wavenis products.

Coronis is currently involved in following National or European Projects with some relations with INTERSECTION project :

• STREP FP6-2005-IST-5. uSWN : Solving Major Problem in MicroSensorial Wireless Network. Defining a HW and MW development platform for WSN,

• ARESA, French National Project : Embedded Systems and Wireless Sensor Network. Solving the latest challenges in advanced routing,

• MEDEA + SWANS. Silicon Platforms for Wireless Advanced Networks of Sensors.

Through these projects Coronis imposed itself as the European leading industrial supplier of WSN solutions, with significant experiences in Hardware, Protocol, Networking and Middleware.
